Linen Care
Pure linen boasts amazing characteristics unlike any other material. Follow these rules, and you will enjoy everlasting satisfaction with your natural linen products, which are:
- Gentle for your skin and antiallergic
- Antifungal, breathable, and antistatic
- Non-elastic and far more durable than other natural fabrics
All of Makile products are made of 100% linen fabric that is washed, softened, wet-tumbled, and stabilized for premium quality. While this material has a reputation for being challenging to care for, following these simple rules listed below will help you ensure that your products remain in excellent condition and maintain their natural beauty over time.
Washing Linen
• Wash in Max. 40 degrees Celsius – the lower, the better for any natural fabric.
• Fold products square to minimize wrinkling – less/smaller wrinkles – easier ironing.
• Use a gentle cycle to prevent excessive agitation.
• Use a mild detergent to avoid harsh chemicals that can damage linen fibers.
• Consider turning the items inside out to protect the fabric's surface.
Drying & Ironing Linen
• Air dry in a straight position to prevent shrinkage and maintain the fabric's integrity.
• Iron while the material is still slightly damp to reduce wrinkles.
• Iron in Max. 200 degrees Celsius (which is anyway medium to high on most irons).
• Iron on the reverse side or use a pressing cloth to protect the fabric.
Other Tips
• Store linen items in a cool, dry place to prevent mold and mildew.
• Avoid plastic bags, as they can trap moisture; instead, use breathable fabric or garment bags.
• Treat stains promptly using mild, natural stain removers.
• Do not use bleach, as it can weaken and yellow linen fibers.
